Watch Polishing Cost: What It Costs and Why Collectors Say No
Polishing is usually bundled or add-on at service time — and it's the one line item collectors love to delete.

Why collectors say no
Every polish removes metal. Sharply edged lugs and thick case flanks are what buyers pay for on the secondary market; an over-polished case can cost thousands in resale on collectible references. For any watch you might sell, specify 'no polishing' in writing at service intake — declining costs nothing at most centers.
